Prune When the Saw is Sharp

SEPTEMBER 21

Fear of pruning is one of the main reasons why trees and shrubs don’t look their best, or worse, why they die. Pruning is an important part of tree and shrub health, and requires knowing how to prune, when to prune, and which tools to use to do the job correctly and safely.

Jim Hole will demonstrate how to prune, what you can prune yourself, and when it is time to call in the pros. Bring your specific pruning questions to the Q&A portion after this FREE presentation.

Adj.related to growing ingredients for the purpose of eating delicious food

Since 2014, the Dig In St. Albert Horticulinary Festival has been providing exciting weekends of culinary adventure that have delighted guests with the possibilities and benefits of eating locally grown food.

In 2017 we’ll celebrate twice! This past spring, we kicked off the start of the growing season with celebrity chefs; now we taste the fruits of gardens and celebrate the harvest. Join us for Culinary Walking and Bike tours, and a series of hands-on “Make & Take” workshops.

Volunteers Wanted

The Dig In Team is looking for volunteers to assist with the running of this fall's festival. Follow the link below to learn what volunteering opportunities exist and the great benefits that come with them.
