Star of the HGTV and Food Network TV shows “Restaurant Makeover” and “Dinner Party Wars,” acclaimed Chef Corbin Tomaszeski has teamed up with Dig In and the Glasshouse Bistro to prepare a special one-time brunch menu. Throughout the brunch, guests will also have a chance to meet & greet with Chef Corbin.

Cooking Workshop with Celebrity Guest Desiree Nielsen
Desiree Neilsen will teach you how to make a simple, delicious pasta sauce with tomatoes, basil, and arugula fresh from the garden. The audience will get to sample Desiree’s creation afterwards, and there will be a book signing with Desiree to follow.

Hops for Beer and Kombucha Workshop with Catherine Smith and Karin Smith Fargey
Do you make your own beer or kombucha? If so, come to this workshop on hops for kombucha or beer! Led by local hops growers Catherine Smith and Karin Smith Fargey, learn about how to best grow the different types of hops and how each different type of hops can add different flavours and profiles to your beer, kombucha or even in a calming, sleepytime herbal tea.

Sprouts & Microgreens Workshop with Teri-Ann Coombes
In this workshop, learn all about growing your own sprouts and microgreens! Sprouting and growing microgreens is a very popular activity now! Not only can these techniques make the nutrients in things like beans and lentils more bioavailable and easily digestible, but sprouts and microgreens are an amazing way to garden year-round indoors, and a fantastic way to add texture, garnish, spice and flavour to your favourite dishes.

Fruiting Trees, Shrubs, and Perennials with Jim Hole
Come out to this workshop with Jim Hole and learn all the basics of growing fruit trees, shrubs, and perennials including: which fruiting plants need a cross-pollinator; what kind of pruning you should do; and what kinds of preparations and considerations you need to make beforehand to have the most success with your apples, strawberries, and blueberries.

Spring-to-Harvest Container Gardening
Come and plant your very own container garden with all you will need for delicious stew in the fall. Learn how to plant and care for your vegetables over the summer then come back during the fall festival and learn how to use your harvest during a hands on cooking class.

Tomato Workshop with Jim Hole
In this workshop, Jim Hole will help you learn about the different culinary uses of slicer, paste, sauce, salad, plum and cherry tomatoes, and go over the different flavour profiles of different types of tomatoes. You’ll learn to grow how to get the biggest yield from your tomato crops, and how to avoid the most common mistakes when it comes to tomato growing.

Mushroom Workshop
Alex Villeneuve—winner of the 2016 TEC Venture Prize, owner of Ceres Solutions, and soon to be Brewmaster & Red Seal Chef—demonstrates how to grow your own mushrooms in this inspiring workshop. Alex will explain how he was able to create a business that diverts waste from the brewery industry, supplies mushrooms to restaurants, and creates nutritious grain feed for animals all at the same time. He'll be joined onstage by Edmonton-based Honest Dumplings who will show the audience how to make delicious, gourmet mushroom dumplings.

Herbs Workshop with Jim Hole
In this workshop, Jim Hole and Shaun McCabe will team up to teach you how to grow different herbs and how to cook with them. Not only will you learn how to grow and cook with herbs, but the audience will also be invited to sample Chef Shaun’s creations.
